Kindred Canine Co., LLC

Refund, Exchange & Cancellation Policy

Please review the terms below before purchasing training packages, deposits, or care services.

All Sales Final

All training packages, deposits, and payments are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or expressly provided in this policy. This applies to private lessons, Synchronicity Training™, Intensive Day Training, Structured Day Training, Board & Train, boarding, and all other training and care services.

In the event of extenuating circumstances, Kindred Canine Co., LLC (“KCC”) may consider exceptions or alternative arrangements at its sole discretion. Exceptions are not guaranteed and do not establish a precedent.

Exchanges & Service Credits

Exchanges of unused prepaid service value toward other KCC services are permitted. The replacement service must be appropriate for the dog and client, available, and subject to applicable pricing.

Before an exchange is finalized, KCC will confirm the unused value available, the price of the replacement service, and any additional payment or remaining service credit. Clients are responsible for any additional balance. Any remaining credit retains the original expiration date unless KCC approves an extension.

Exchanges and service credits are non-refundable and have no cash value, except where required by applicable law. An exchange does not automatically extend the original package expiration date.

Packages and service credits may not be transferred to another person or dog without KCC’s approval.

Package Validity & Discretionary Extensions

All training packages are valid for 12 months from the original purchase date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Under extenuating circumstances, KCC may, at its sole discretion, approve an extension of unused training value beyond the original expiration date.

Extensions are not automatic or guaranteed. Each extension must be approved by KCC in writing, including by email or text message, and must identify the new expiration date. An extension granted to one client or package does not establish a precedent or entitlement to future extensions.

Training-package expiration terms do not apply to gift cards or gift certificates where prohibited by applicable law.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a private lesson or day-training appointment. Late cancellations and missed appointments may result in forfeiture of the scheduled session.

Cancellation and rescheduling requests may be submitted:

  • By email to hello@kindredcanineco.com.
  • By text message to KCC’s designated business phone number.
  • By phone directly to KCC or by voicemail at its designated business phone number.

Notice is measured from the time the email, text message, or voicemail is received, or the time the request is communicated directly to KCC by phone. Requests to reschedule remain subject to availability; submitting a request does not reserve a new appointment.

Boarding & Board & Train Reservations

Cancellation, date-change, and early-pickup terms for boarding and Board & Train reservations will be disclosed in the applicable booking confirmation or service agreement before payment.

Those terms will specify any required notice, treatment of deposits and unused prepaid amounts, and whether a date change is treated as a cancellation. The 48-hour appointment cancellation rule above does not automatically apply to these reservations.

Services Canceled by KCC

Sessions canceled by KCC will be rescheduled or credited without penalty to the client.

Clients will not forfeit unused package value solely because a KCC cancellation or lack of scheduling availability prevents use before the expiration date. KCC will arrange an appropriate extension or other resolution.

If KCC cannot provide a purchased service and no mutually acceptable replacement or rescheduling arrangement is available, KCC will refund the unused prepaid amount attributable to the service it cannot provide.

Client Responsibility & Acknowledgment

Clients are responsible for accurately disclosing their dog’s known bite history, aggression, reactivity, medical conditions, and potential safety risks before services begin and throughout services.

Dog training and care involve inherent risks. KCC exercises reasonable care but cannot guarantee specific behavioral outcomes or eliminate all risks.

Services are also subject to KCC’s Client Training, Care & Custody Agreement, provided to clients for acceptance before services begin.

This policy will be displayed or linked on the client’s invoice or payment page before payment so clients can review its terms before purchasing services.

By purchasing services, clients acknowledge receipt of this policy and agree to its terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

This policy does not limit any nonwaivable consumer rights or statutory cancellation protections.

Questions & Requests

For questions about this policy or to request an exchange, exception, or package extension, contact hello@kindredcanineco.com or KCC’s designated business phone number by phone or text.

Exchange arrangements and any approved exception or extension will be confirmed by KCC in writing, including by email or text message.
